Our experienced team can help you decide on the best way to replace missing teeth with bridges, dental implants or dentures. Partial or complete dentures are an attractive solution if you have two or more adjacent teeth missing. Our team can also perform permanent or temporary repairs and adjustments if you are having problems with existing dentures.

A modern denture is made with porcelain replacement teeth mounted in a comfortable base that is molded to fit securely in your mouth. The new teeth are color-matched so that your new denture is indistinguishable from the natural teeth in your mouth. A properly fitted denture is comfortable to wear and it helps maintain the shape of your mouth.

There are several types of dentures that we can custom fit to fill gaps where you have lost teeth due to accidents or periodontal disease. A partial denture can be constructed to replace several teeth that are missing near each other. Complete bottom or top dentures will be required if all of the teeth in your maxillary (top) or mandibular (bottom) dental arches are missing or are diseased beyond saving.

In decades past it may have been common practice to remove all of a patient’s teeth in order to fit a complete denture, but today we will do everything we can to save your remaining natural teeth. It is preferable to fit a patient with a partial denture whenever possible, since existing teeth can be used to help secure the denture in place and keep it from slipping during chewing and speaking.

Implant-retained dentures are a modern advancement over traditional removable dentures. Removable dentures held in place with oral adhesives often slip and cause difficulties with biting and speech. Implant-retained dentures are secured to titanium posts securely placed in your jaw bone. They not only do not slip, but they help to preserve the shape of your facial bones and allow you to eat all of the foods you enjoy. Many implant-retained denture wearers report that they act so much like natural teeth that they sometimes forget they are wearing dentures.

Here at Oakridge Dental Center, our experienced cosmetic dentistry team will help you plan the best way to replace your missing teeth. We will do everything we can to restore your smile and improve your oral health. We take your comfort and satisfaction seriously. Call us today for an initial consultation.
